May Wrap Up

Our "Before" picture
May went out with a bang. Toby was called as Bishop of our ward! He went from being 1st counselor in the bishopric for 1 1/2 yr to bishop! It was a crazy 3 weeks. Yes, it took 3 weeks from the time he was called to the time he was sustained. Some memorable moments from that experience I don't want to forget: Our kids found out at church with the rest of the ward; Sam couldn't stop crying when he realized Toby wouldn't be sitting by him at church anymore; A teenage girl said "yes!" really loud after they said Toby's name; Neither of Toby's new counselors being in town for the sustaining! Feeling overwhelmed and yet sustained at the same time.

Woodland Park finally flooded! Sam and his friends were checking everyday. This was the first day, it got way better.

Max ended his Jr. High era with a bang. He was one of 12 9th graders to get a Department award. He got one for choir. His teacher told everyone how awesome Max was. Afterwards, 2 other teachers told him they put his name down for their award as well but the principal wouldn't let them do duplicates! Max is a very talented kid!

Sam and his friends skipped the last day of school and went golfing. They're so cool

I took the ladies on a sunset hike

Max found this picture on Family Search and quickly photo shopped his face onto all the women. He's hilarious.
