Bring it On

You're not going to believe this next story - I can't either.
Max is back in the hospital. He is at Primary Children's having surgery as we speak. He started projectile vomiting on Sat. and it kept getting gradually worse, so bad that today he can't keep anything down. Took him to the hospital to get checked out and they did an ultrasound on his stomach and found out he has pyloric stenosis. It is a fairly commong condition for first-born white males. It means the muscle at the end of the stomach that allows food to pass has for some reason grown abnormally large and is closing off the exit to the stomach - hence the vomitting. The surgery is quick and easy - they just have to snip the muscle. He has to stay in the hospital for 2 days.
We are doing okay. I think we're still in shock that even more is happening to us and Max. It was hard to see them hook him up to the monitors again and now I have to hold him with wires again. But it is only for 2 days - I think I can make it. Now we just have to figure out how we're going to pay for all of these medical bills. :) Max is one expensive miracle. Is it a miracle if it costs money? :)
I feel like Alfa-alfa on Little Rascals,"Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, the clouds opened up and God said, "I hate you Alfa-alfa".
So if you look at this later and it says that our house burned down or we totaled our car - do no be surprised! We aren't!

  2. So to hear about Max. What an ordeal you have all been through. You are all so strong and amaze me! Camryn is counting down the days until she can see Megan Satruday.

  3. I'm so sorry, April! What a rough couple of months. Congratulations on finally having Max home, officially, though. And, hang in there for the surgery. I hope it all goes well.

  5. Apes! I can't believe it, so sorry. I'm a bit familiar with this as Ben's little sister had it and they thought Samantha had it early on, it generally is quick and easy. But, at this point you just want him to be home!

I have been there with the medical bills! I would love to help with anything I can.
Like: you may qualify for medical tax benefit (we did and got most back!) and there are benefits of not paying bills right away with a CC, and if you do some will give you a discount. ect.

Give me a call when you get a chance. 390-6997
    Love ya!
