Tree Hugger

I became a tree hugger this week. In fact, I wanted to run out and throw myself in front of the excavator and chain myself to the trees.
Our backyard is basically a huge field that had a huge row of trees going through it that blocked the view of the ugly road behind it. We really enjoyed these trees. In the summer they provide shade and a home for the beautiful pheasant. But now they are all gone and I don't know why! It was one of the saddest things I've ever watched. But also kind of cool to see an excavator tear down a whole row of trees.

But Sam did not like it at all!
