Superman & Pirates are a very big deal at our house right now.
Sam has been obsessed with Superman ever since he saw a neighbor wearing a superman shirt. So I showed him a cartoon and he LOVED it and then wanted to wear his superman pj's all the time. Grandma Leila was super nice and found a for real life cape for Sam and Sam was very excited and put it on and waited a few seconds - then ripped it off. He was very upset that it didn't make him fly! But all is well, because Max has taken a liking to the cape.
Grandpa Bish was also very nice because while on a trip he found a bunch of pirate stuff.
The favorites are this blow up pirate and the pirate hook. Sam LOVES them. And I love the blow up pirate because now he gets beat up instead of me. Sam even sleeps with the hook. Are we worried he's growing up to be violent because he likes hooks, guns and swords? Sure, but right now we do whatever makes him happy. And that's the kind of good parents we are.
