Festival Days

I love festival days! Soo much fun! They have stuff all week long and we took full advantage of it. They brought some food trucks to the park one night, so we enjoyed a nice healthy dinner there! Then they have the kids bike parade and movie in the park. And of course, the 5k and parade on Saturday. The whole family ran the 5k this year. I ran it with Max so Toby could run with Megan and I thought I chose the easier one since I'd hurt my leg playing soccer (yes, you heard right, I play soccer and Toby can't stop laughing, but that's another story for another day), but apparently not. Max took off from the start line and I assumed I would catch him on the hill, then I thought I'd catch him when he slowed down for a drink, then I realized I was never going to catch him! So I cut through the neighborhood to run the last block with him where he told me he wasn't even tired!! If only I could have that energy! Max finished in 29 minutes and he had tons of people come up to him and tell him he was awesome. One lady told me she used him for his pacer! Megan & Kate came in just under 31 minutes, another great job! I'm also glad I ran the race because they had physical therapists at the race to stretch people out, so I had a turn and told the guy about my leg and he hurt me real bad, but then my leg felt sooo much better!
The parade was sooo fun! They give out so much stuff at this parade. We enjoyed lots of popsicles, chocolates, fat boys and clothes from lagoon!

 Max had a nutella waffle and Toby a giant corndog. They were both divine and healthy!
