He had a birthday party at DartSide. He was so happy, and so were his friends! It was worth every cent to me because all I had to do was drive all the kids there and then let them loose! It really is a fun place and Sam got spoiled from his friends too.
He was so excited to go birthday shopping with Grandma Leila because he knew exactly what he wanted to get - fishing gear. He was so happy. He also came home with a wicked awesome machine gun nerf gun that I somehow don't have a picture of.
Then he was spoiled with more presents from family and Grandma & Grandpa Spjute - his first set of scriptures! I was worried that he would be unimpressed with them, but he's actually been really happy to have them and we read out of them every night! Score!
Then next day, Toby took him skiing and then on Monday they finally took our new kayaks out to the pond and Sam got to use his fishing pole! We were so happy the weather cooperated so he could use his fishing pole, so he could stop asking when, when, WHEN would we take him fishing!
We love Sam. Everyone needs a Sam in their family. He reminds us that life is supposed to be fun filled with lots of friends and memories. He was meant to live out in the country on acres of land where he could explore all day. He loves being outside. We hope he grows out of angry Sam, and there's a ray of hope for that, but other than that he is super fun to be around. He has a caring heart and wants to make sure everyone is happy!

When I told him he couldn't ask for pizza for dinner, he asked for Costco hot dogs. Smart boy. |

Sam is the best! Feel free to bring him up here with a fishing pole. Jake would love to take him. He's meant to live here every summer;)
