YM Camp & EFY

 

As YM Pres., Toby was very happy YM camp was over and it went well. As his wife, I was ecstatic that it was over, oh, and I was happy it went well (see previous post). They went to Flaming Gorge with freezing cold water, but at least the weather held up. Most of the kayaks held up great and the boys were proud of their seafaring vessels. And the few that had a few leaks provided more lessons to be learned - they did not take the time to make sure everything was as it should be. The boys had a good time being boys and no one drowned. So a win win!

On the way to Flaming Gorge, they stopped at this Pioneer House to complete an eagle project for a YM. They built a wheelchair ramp and replaced some walls inside the white building.

Our neighbor's boat is awesome. It has these hoses that blow out warm air, which was much needed after being in the cold water!

The same week Toby was gone, Megan went to EFY in Provo. She was supposed to go with her bestie Brinley, but she had to back out. So Megan ended up going alone (I would have been scared to death) but she handled it like a champ! She got an awesome roommate from Hawaii, she got to stay in the new dorms, and her group had so much fun and they still text each other non stop! They're getting together in a few weeks at our house for a BBQ and Megan can't wait! She even had her C.O.W. named Archer and he was ready to marry Megan by the end of the week (I don't blame him) but she set him straight and they're good friends. And I was sooo happy to see Megan again after being with boys all week! I'm so glad I have one girl to unite with!
