Oregon Coast or Bust

Toby went to a Rockies baseball game in 100 degree heat!

We were all super excited for Oregon Coast! (Well, maybe not so much me - camping is a lot of work!) But with our crazy summer schedule Toby went out of town to Denver right before we were supposed to leave! He got home late the night before, woke up early to pack the car and off we went to Boise for another work appointment! Crazy!
We made it to Boise and had a fabulous time swimming at Grandma Great's. Her pool is the best and it was a good break while Toby was working. Then we got back in the car and made it to our hotel and woke up the next day to...drive again! Are you sick of it yet? We were. We made a stop in Portland at an amazing burger place called Tilt. It was sooo good! We were so full that I didn't need to make dinner that night! Score!
We finally made it to our campsite to be greeted by the Ball family! It was a great reunion and playing with cousins commenced immediately and didn't stop for the next week! I loved it! I loved that we were completely unplugged that week. Even the adults since no one had cell coverage. It was glorious. And staying in a yurt is life changing. Being able to open a door and walk in, instead of unzipping a tent and crawling in, and who can forget having a heater?! Totally worth it.
We even used to electricity to cook with a hot plate instead of bringing our big grill. Nice.
The weather was glorious. Every single day was sunny and warm. We have never had that happen and now we know why people like to go there! It was sooo fun!
