Christmas Bus

This Christmas Bus will be one that won't be forgotten for a long time!! All was going well and according to plan until we met to get back on the bus and waited for an HOUR! It was bad. Kids were crying and cold so everyone finally took an Uber home. The bus eventually pulled up and Dad and Kathy rode it home alone. So sad. There's lots of ideas about where the bus was: aliens took her for an hour, she needed a bathroom break, she stopped at a bar. Alas, I don't think we'll ever know! It actually ended up working out good for our family because we new the Johnsons were in the Conference Center enjoying the MoTab concert, so we asked them if we could take their car home and then come back to pick them up. As we were getting to the conference center to get keys from them, the nice people at the conference center asked if we wanted to come in and go to the concert? We told them we'd love to but we didn't have tickets. Then they told us that they had extra seats and were letting everyone in! Score! We only missed the first song, and it was a fabulous concert! I loved every minute of it. The boys tried not to enjoy it because they were still REALLY bummed about not riding home on the bus and having hot chocolate and cookies (that's their favorite part) but even they ended up enjoying the concert!
But lets back up to the fun day that did go as planned.
We started out the care center as usual and had fun doing our program for them, then went to the church to play lots of fun games and eat lots of food! Then we got on the bus to head to the beautiful lights! We really enjoyed them this year because who knows what it will be like during the construction.
Megan started the day by being one of "Santa's Helpers" for the city and her FYCC group.

We went to our friend's office to see an awesome Santa and eat delicious donuts.
