Thanksgiving was a big, anticipated event this year because it was also my Grandma's 90th Birthday!! We'd been told over a year ago to clear our schedules to make sure we were all there to celebrate. And it was so much fun! We packed a lot into a short amount of time.
My grandma has 9 kids, 39 grandkids and 76 great grandkids (and counting). And all but a couple were there! It was so fun to see all my cousins in one place, it was just like it was when we were growing up. And so fun to celebrate my grandma who is an incredible lady. (She'd have to be to raise that many kids!).
We started off with dinner on Thanksgiving at a stake center because that's the only way we all fit. Just picture a ward party, that's what it looked like! The next day we gathered at the capital in Boise to take a ginormous group picture. The photographer thought she was prepared for how many people there would be, but she wasn't. We totally overwhelmed her (and I don't blame her) but we finally got that done and went back to stake center for some yummy lunch. After lunch we went back to our hotel for hours of swimming. Our hotel was awesome and had a huge pool that we quickly took over. Other people would come in to swim and just turn around because there were so many of us.
That evening we gathered for a 'campfire'. Spjute's are known for singing around the campfire, it's a lot of fun, and so fun to be there all together singing our favorite songs!
The next day we traveled up to my Uncle Brian and Aunt Ann's new house they just built in the middle of the mountains. They built their own road to get to their house. You can't see anyone else from their house. It's pretty awesome. We had a yummy breakfast and then it was time for us to head home to spend some time with the Johnson side of the family. We finally made it to the escape room that we've been trying to do for over a year now, and had a delicious dinner. I couldn't look at Kurt when I talked to him because of his mustache and then I think I peed my pants laughing at the outfits he put on in the escape room.
All around it was a fabulous Thanksgiving that will be remembered for a long time!

I remembered my bowl, and salad tongs, but no salad! No worries, we had cheese balls instead! It was a big hit! |
Someone found this random hat that said "Not Toby" in the lost and found!

We can't forget our Thankful Wall for the month of November. Some moms cut out leaves and make it look cute, but sticky notes do it for me! Some of Max and Sam's were hilarious |
