We showed up to what we thought was a regular fast and testimony meeting only to have President Oaks walk in a few minutes later! No one knew he was coming! It was crazy and awesome! He said he just likes to visit 'regular' wards when he's not on assignment. He knew exactly where he wanted to go and when and Toby got to take him everywhere. He did bear his testimony and talked about the names of Christ and that he'd wondered what name of Christ is the most important or the one that is referred to in the sacrament prayers. He said it's the Work of Christ, and the Work of Christ is what we all do to help in the church. Pretty cool! And of course, I was teaching my Sunday School class that day and Pres. Oaks told Toby that's where he wanted to go! I was sooo nervous when he came in because I was in the middle of teaching about the apostasy! But he was very gracious and added some kind words and then he let us take a picture. It was a great day and one none of those kids will forget. Max said it best after we were walking to the car after church, "Did you notice how happy everyone was?" It's true, just having him there made everyone happy. I imagine that's how it would be if the Savior came.

Toby got this text the night before. We're pretty sure it's from Pres. Oaks assistant |
