Mexico Part 1

Thanksgiving meant Mexico for us!! We had this trip planned for almost a year. We knew when Megan got home from her mission we wouldn't really have time to go on a proper trip - so we planned one for Thanksgiving to Playa Del Carmen. Luckily the Balls have been there twice so we just copied their trip and it was a huge success. Just looking at these pics make me want to go back. It was pretty close to the perfect trip. Nothing crazy happened, we relaxed, we played - just the best.

We started out with an early flight to Atlanta and then had a layover in Atlanta where we found a yummy restaurant to eat at. By the time we got to our condo we were all pretty tired. But we dumped our bags and ran out the door to go put our feet in the ocean, and it was warm! We all slept great and ready for a full day in Mexico!

One of the funnest things we did on the trip was going to the Xplor park. It was the highlight for most of the kids. 7 zip lines, a giant water slide, ATV you could drive, cenotes to explore and all you can eat buffet and smoothies all day! It was so much fun. We were there from opening to closing and had a blast.

They have spots where they'll take your picture - of course we didn't pay for them. But I love this pic because we were all laughing so hard. We were in cenote that you got to swim/walk through and we were trying to get in front of all the annoying people that were going super slow and Toby hit a huge underwater rock with his leg so of course I started laughing and then I went down and couldn't breathe cuz of water and laughing. Good times

Sunday we went to church - always love going to church in Mexico. 

We went grocery shopping and had fun on this cart ramp

Then we explored the resort. It's so pretty!! We pretty much had it to ourselves, and there's no rules in Mexico so we did whatever we wanted!

We drank lots of piña coladas and ate guac everyday!
