Max is home!!!

If you want to hear about Christmas, you'll have to wait because there are far more important things to blog about like Max is home!!! He came home on Sunday after 24 days in the NICU. We are so happy, excited, and exhausted. I have been going to the hospital at least twice a day almost every day that he's been there and now that I can stay home I realize how crazy that was!
Max now weighs 5 lbs. 6 oz. and is doing great. He eats a ton and all the time, so I'm sure he'll be gaining weight fast. Megan is so excited to have him home. It was really neat to see them meet for the first time. She says when he gets bigger they are going to be "Two crazy kids!"
I know many of you are looking at pictures and thinking what a cute baby he is and that you'd really like to see him in person. :) And although I agree that he is a really cute baby, it is for Max's best interest if you just call or send an email. It is RSV season and since he has very fragile lungs visitors are limited especially kids and sick people. So, you will all just have to stay posted to the blog and I'll try and put lots of pictures on so you feel like you're seeing him in person! :)
Thanks to all who have brought meals, and watched Megan - we couldn't have done it without you!

I had to put this picture in because he looks like an old man
I have 2 REALLY cute kids!
The room that I was happy to leave!
His first car ride!
Look Mom! No wires and my own clothes! Hooray!

  5. So glad Max is home and doing well. I am sure you are enjoying the time at home rather than all the traveling to the hospital. I love seeing how excited Megan is about Max. She told me the other day about the burps that he does after he eats and how she and her daddy burp after they drink soda pop. She seemed quite pleased that Max can burp without drinking soda pop.

  6. April, Max is adorable. These are great pictures. Thanks so much for posting them. It is easy to post pictures of your kid when they are so cute. You have one! He looks great and I'm sure you are glad to be home. We are glad you are all home too.
