Beaches for Days

We went to 3 different beaches the first day - that's right, 3! Needless to say, we went through an entire can of sunscreen. Our white Utah skins hadn't seen the light of day for a long time! We snorkeled at pretty much every beach we went to. Max and Sam even joined in and loved it. I also came to find that the beach could entertain my kids for days on end. There's always something to do!
We met their good friend Sofia that owns a restaurant by the beach. She was soo nice! The kids loved her.

The kids got to hold some parrots.

Tried some Coconut. Sam was a big fan.

These ugly birds were everywhere.

Megan and Grandpa Bish went out snorkeling together at every beach we went to.

Too bad Sam is so white, he could live at the beach. When he got bored with the water, he'd dig in the sand. When he got bored with the sand he'd play in the water. Perfect for someone that's crazy like Sam!

Megan turned him into a mermaid.

Don't tell Sam he doesn't speak Spanish. He had no problem making friends and talking to them as if they understood.

We soon realized Sam had met his Mexican twin - he was bossy just like Sam!
Whenever we got home from the beach, the boys would play in Grandma's 'hot tub'.

We visited with the District President's family. They couldn't stop staring at Sam and his hair.

Stopped for another visit to this woman (can't remember her name!) She owned a little shop and let the kids pick out some candy - so they really liked her!

Finally made it to dinner! It was yummy! The boys loved their cheesy, cheesy quesadillas.

Sam was obsessed watching this guy cut the meat off. Mostly because he had 2 big knives that he would clang together a lot before he'd start cutting.

We found a hop scotch on the way home! And you've made it through Day 1! Whew!
