Zion to Boise

We stayed at the Zion Ponderosa Ranch on our way back from the Grand Canyon. The kids LOVED it, and it is on our list to go back and stay longer. They've got lots of fun things to do, amazing hikes and fun pools - and it's gorgeous there! Unfortunately, we didn't take very many pics of what we did, so you'll have to take my word for it.
We drove through Zion - we were going to stop and hike a small hike, but it was insane busy, and we got there right when it opened, so we'll go back for that another time. But the kids loved driving through. We opened the sunroof and let the kids put their heads out. It was awesome. People were honking and waving at us and the Asian people took pictures of it. Definitely something we won't forget about.
After we got through horrendous traffic on the way home, the kids and Toby switched into Toby's work car and drove up to Boise. Luckily, they didn't hit any traffic. By the time they got to the hotel, Sam was crazy from being in a car and from eating straight sugar for 3 days, it took him a while to calm down. But once everyone got to sleep, they were out. Toby went to a few mtgs. while the kids swam in the pool 3 different times, watched movies and played games. Then they went to visit Grandma Great and had a great time there.
Now, I know you're wondering, why wasn't April there? I was at home basking in the silence and working my tail off doing some much needed deep cleaning in the house with no interruptions! It's pure heaven! Every Mom needs a vacation after their family vacation. I highly recommend it.
I finally added up all the miles we drove for this vacation. It was about 2,000 miles!!

One of the hikes we went on - that's Zion that you see in the background.

I love talking to Sam when his headphones are on - he yells. Then when you try to tell him he's yelling, he gets angry and starts yelling more. It's a vicious cycle.
He's going to make one young lady very happy!

They made it to the temple to do baptisms!
