Sibling Night

The kids LOVE doing sibling night. This year, we added zoo lights to the night because why not? I actually wasn't sure if it was going to happen because right when it was time to go and I was asking the kids to get ready to go, they all started yelling, fighting, yelling at me - it was scary. It got so bad that I finally said let's just not go. But then there was more yelling, fighting, yelling at me (I have proof, Toby filmed it while we both laughed, but I'm too embarrassed to show you) but then we decided to go but maybe we wouldn't do everything since they weren't behaving. Really, we had to do it that night because we had no other night in the month of December that we would be able to do it. So off we went.
We stopped at the JSM building to do the Giving Machine. We tried to do it last year but they had run out of stuff, so we wanted to make sure we could do it. We let the kids each pick out one thing. Megan picked paying for 3 girls to stay in school, Max chose jump ropes, and Sam chose Mac N Cheese. It was pretty cool. And since it was still light outside, we walked around temple square to see the Nativity. Did you know they have really amazing details on them?! Then we went up to see the Christus statue without all the crowds - it was quite enjoyable! Then the lights turned on as we were walking back the car! Turned out perfect!
Then we finally made it to dinner and that always helps everyone be happier. Then it was onto the Zoo lights - during a blizzard! It started right when we got there and we asked the kids if they still wanted to do it, and they were super excited. So off we went. Luckily, we all had umbrellas and no one was there! And their Santa is still my favorite! It was lots of fun and one we won't forget!
Usually we go to the store for the kids to buy each other presents. But they all needed a new ripstik, so we got them for them to give as sibling gifts and they were all pretty happy about that.
