Thanksgiving in Moab

4 Corners!
We've decided that traveling over Thanksgiving break is much more enjoyable than sitting home and eating food that none of us really love! So this year we headed back to Moab because there is sooo much to do there. Toby had to hit some small hospitals on the way for work, so we decided to make the trek to 4 corners. Max was so happy.
On Thanksgiving day we went into Arches and took the kids on the Double O Arch hike. It was 7.5 miles - we didn't tell the kids that before we started. But they did great. It's easy to hike that far when there's so much cool stuff to look at! Our favorite part was after we saw the Double O arch, we went back on the 'primitive trail' through Devil's Garden. You had to really pay attention to the stone trail markers or you could get lost.
Later that day, we met up with Laura & Jake and had Mexican food for dinner! That's my kind of Thanksgiving! It was the best mexican food Toby's ever had. The next day all the big people went mountain biking and we had to leave earlier than what we were planning on to beat the big storm that was coming in.
We had a great time and can't wait to go back to Moab. I don't think you can ever do everything there.

This is Wilson Arch - it's just off the side of the road past Moab. It's beautiful!

I've never seen a Mini Temple, so we stopped by the Monticello Temple. It was so pretty!
That's the moon!
On our way to the Double O Arche

Partition Arch - the Double O Hike is so cool because you can see 4 arches on your way!

This is looking over the Devil's Garden, where we will hike through on our way back to the car.

The boys were sooo excited to have their pictures taken by this rock. We were laughing so hard because they didn't realize what it looked like.
Besties
Thanksgiving dinner!

Toby's food - sooo good.
The bikers
While Sam waited for the bikers - he grabbed the sled out of the car and went down this hill. It actually worked!

No visit to Moab would be complete without the sand hill.
The end.
