Before and After COVID-19

Megan got sworn into the Farmington Youth City Council for year 2
A lot can change in a week! I don't think I realized how much until now. This whole virus thing still feels like I'm living in a movie and I'm going to snap out of it. It's hard to remember anything weird is going on because when we're home, it all seems normal, but if we ever venture outside or turn the news on, we are reminded of all the craziness! Online school is going great for 2 of my kids, I'm sure you can guess who. And I failed as a parent and missed going to the library by 1 day! All because I was waiting for my book to come in and was trying to not make any unnecessary outings. Church at home has been awesome except for one child and we weren't surprised or phased by that! I still have to work and so does Toby and thank goodness for awesome Megan for playing with the boys. I have enjoyed the down time with my kids, but I'm not sure what I will be saying 3 weeks from now!
Before Corona, Megan was still staying up late studying and falling asleep on her bed as usual.

Max got one deacon basketball game in

They made it to the Ogden temple

Within a couple of days, this is what the store shelves looked like!! It's something we'll never forget, and I'm grateful for food storage so I didn't have to be a part of the frenzy.

This is a picture of me videoing the kids performing their Federation pieces. The day before federation was supposed to happen, it went to virtual. I had to upload videos to the internet of the kids playing their songs. Technology is the best!
We always have a random dog follow us on this hike, and this was no exception! The boys love it.
This is what home church looks like. When Pres. Nelson asked us to do something special for the restoration before general conference, our family planned a hiking trip up to Hell's hole where we would read the first vision together. Since church got cancelled we decided to do it. We had sacrament mtg at home (which was awesome) and Max passed the sacrament while Toby blessed, then we headed out for our hike. It started out normal and fine, but by the end we were in 3 ft of snow and couldn't make it all the way to the waterfall. So we stopped underneath some pine trees and had to have a quick talk on the restoration (because Sam's feet were frozen). But it was a really neat experience that I won't forget and I hope my kids don't either.
