St. George

After finishing up school and projects, we were ready for a break and jumped at the chance to go to St. George, even in the middle of a heat wave! We stayed in Toby's parents friends townhouse and it was awesome because it was right across from the clubhouse that had 2 pools that were OPEN! Pools weren't open yet back at home. So we had no plans other than to swim our guts out, which we did!
Toby took the kids mountain biking a couple of times. The boys weren't very thrilled until they found a turtle, but Megan had a great time!

Toby tried to get a pic with all the kids together and this was the best he could do! The boys were not happy that (gasp!) they might have to ride uphill or (gasp!) go over rocks!
But finding "Sandy" made it all worth it.

Sam was in heaven once he realized he could fish at the pond by the house!

Thanks to Covid, we had all our favorite parks to ourselves.

We went on a really pretty hike one morning. At one point it required us to do a bit of rock climbing. You would've thought we were climbing the Cliffs of Insanity with no rope the way the boys were freaking out. (Insert eye roll) but we eventually made it out in once piece.

This was me trying to pump the kids up to go down the rope aka Cliffs of Insanity. (You can see the rope on the very right of the pic, we had to go around the rock to the other side and down)

More swimming. I lost track of how many times we got in trouble for climbing up there and jumping off. Why did they build it if not for jumping?

After we had all had our fill of swimming, we had a few hours to kill and it was over 100 degrees outside and because of Covid, not a lot of options. So we came up with the brilliant idea of driving to Vegas to see the Strip while it was closed. It was really crazy to be there. We saw maybe 3 people. All the hotels and casinos are barricaded with Police standing outside. There weren't even any cars driving around.
