Megan keeps busy life guarding at our local pool |
Surviving a summer with Covid isn't easy, or fun. I'm hoping my kids are enjoying it? because I wake up everyday with dread that it's another Covid day and if I watch another movie or play another game I think I will go crazy!

Having swim lessons with all our neighborhood friends sure helped! |
Sam's Lacrosse season was canceled, then back on, then canceled, then back on for good. We were grateful. He only got to play half his games but we were all happy to have something to do! This was his first season of lacrosse and he did really well! It's a fun sport to watch.
His last 2 games were back to back in the middle of a 100 degree day. It just about did Sam in.
The week of my heart surgery, I had to get tested for Covid and then quarantine myself and family for the next 3 days until my surgery. So we borrowed this blow up toy so the kids didn't hate me too much. And it made me feel great while I was in pain and alone at the hospital that they were finally able to play with friends and go to Cherry Hill.

The pool FINALLY opened for fun swimming!! |
We had 2 random days of cool weather and I forced the kids to go on a hike with me. I didn't tell them that it was a good 45 minute drive away, just handed them the iPad and away we went! The drive was soo pretty and it had even snowed! Unfortunately, the hike we wanted to do was closed, and of course, little signs don't bother us, we just walked around them. Until we realized that the entire trail was gone and we were walking on a muddy path to nowhere. Surprisingly, no one cared! (This just goes to show how bad the Covid craziness is.) We laughed about it, took off our muddy shoes and enjoyed the scenery.

Megan was totally laughing at our failure of a hike |
