The Balls always seem to bring cooler temps when they come, so we celebrated by roasting mallows!
Thanks to Covid, we got to see the Balls twice this summer!!! Lucky us! We picked up like they'd never left and had a blast. The kids were trying to think up ways they could move in together. It's not a bad idea!
We floated down the Weber river on what we thought was a really hot day. But it rained and hailed halfway through so everyone was freezing.
Sam has been begging to go to Smith & Morehouse to fish ever since his friend went and caught a couple of fish. We REALLY needed him to catch something so he can get over this fishing thing, but alas, he did not. The other kids had a grand time on the rope swing. These swings are huge! There were some 20 year olds trying to talk each other into going and Max went up and finally asked if he could go, they gave him the rope and off he went! They thought Max was so cool they started chanting his name.

After swimming, we went to Laura's for a most delicious bbq and to play with cousins. Oh, and it was the 24th of July so we did some amazing fireworks too! It was all fun and games until a firework landed in Max's lap and he got burned.
Enjoying the theater
We also went bum sliding! It was near perfect conditions!
Max was the 1st to go!
Poor Sam. It's hard being so skinny.
These boys figured out they could pretty much have the run of our house. While the rest of us would be hanging out at grandpa's, they would walk to our house and have parties like this! And for memories sake, I have to mention the time Sam called me from our house to tell me he had tried to cook popcorn in the microwave and that the house was filling with smoke and the bag was black and was that a problem?!
