Sweet 16!!

Megan's new car Oscar.
Megan is FINALLY 16!! (Having an August birthday is the worst.) The long awaited day came and I'm pretty sure we filled every minute of that day - and that's exactly what she wanted!
She started out with dance (of course) then it was on to get her license (Covid style) then shopping, dinner, a delicious pineapple coconut cake, presents, and ending the night with friends. She was exhausted by the end - oh wait, that was just me! She just had a contented smile on her face, and she deserves it. Megan is the most kind hearted soul I know. She's super fun to be around and actually plays with her brothers instead of telling them how annoying they are. And because of that, they adore her. She's super smart and gets straight A's. She's an amazing pianist, and a beautiful dancer, and she can hold her own at sports. And she's gorgeous. Basically she's practically perfect in every way and I can't believe I haven't completely screwed her up! We all love Megan and mourn the fact that now she has a license she's never home. Sigh. To know Megan is to love her!

The sign Toby put on the corner of our street
She's legal! Don't worry, she's a fabulous driver!

This was my favorite present to give her and her reaction was just what I was hoping. It's a picture of a ballerina dancing by Christ. I saw this painting a few months ago and immediately thought of Megan when I saw it. She LOVED it and was surprised and excited for it.
She asked for this coconut pineapple cake. It's a good thing I love her because it took ALL day. But it was delicious!
I made some of her friends pose for an awkward picture before I left. They're all good kids.
