Labor Day by way of Snow Bird

For Labor Day the Johnsons usually go to Heber Camp but because of Covid, that was closed. So instead they found this amazing house we could all stay in! It was sooo much fun! All the trails and biking were right outside our door and the views were amazing! We got to enjoy some amazing views and cooler temps while we were there. The kids hardly slept because they couldn't wait to wake up and play some more. Toby went on a million mountain bike rides and I did an amazing hike in the morning while it was quiet and peaceful. It was a great weekend!
Kurt, Tina and Toby went up a few hours early so they could bike - I watched all the kids.

This view never got old.

The first morning we were there, Toby and Kurt rode UP and back down the mountain. Toby's 25 year old bike did great! Who needs a new one?!

There are some beautiful hikes up that canyon and we did quite a few!!

If you know the Johnsons then you know they like to play games, so there was always something crazy going on in the evening, just they way they like it!

Simon Says was a must

We loved eating outside next to these mountains!

Our Sunday mosey.

And of course there were lots of crafts to do.

Family bike ride!

On the last day we were there we got to go down to the plaza of the ski resort and play on all their games. It was so much fun! We got to do the roller coaster, alpine slide, trampoline, ropes course, tubing, and other stuff. The only bummer is that it got really windy so they had to shut down the gondola and the drop off. So we rode the lift up to the top instead. Little did we know that wind was just a preview of what was going to happen at home...more on that later.

It was soo cold riding up to the top!! And windy. Sam lost his mask. And yes, Toby has so much orange on that people would walk by and say, "Look at that guy, why's he in all orange?" or "Did you see that guy in all orange!"

  1. Sounds like so much fun! And looks like we need to go mountain biking there! By the way, pretty sure you were at Snowbird, not Snowbasin. Snowbasin is by Ogden.
