We went to Washington...Again!

We stopped for a swim at Grandma Great's pool on the way up. Always a favorite.

We LOVE visiting Washington every summer. There's so many awesome things there, fun people AND we get to get out of the heat! And since we're having an historic heat wave/drought this year, it was extra nice to go somewhere where I didn't get hot once! We did a lot of the same things we usually do, which we love but even managed to find some new places. Megan joined us halfway through the trip because she's adulting now and needed to work. We watched Mel's kids for a day before she got home from her trip. So there was A LOT of little boys running around and I was the only girl! But I managed to survive until Mel and Megan got there.
As soon as we pulled up at the Ball's the boys got out the slip n slide. Henry wasted to time sliding down in the nude. It was obvious his mom had been gone for a while!

The next day was all about Pine Lake. And since Washington is still weird about Covid, there's still no lifeguards! So we got to do whatever we wanted. It was the best.

I ditched the boys and went for my annual paddle board ride around the lake.

Henry was nice enough to push everyone in.

Randy walked us around the new section of Big Rock Park (the park across the street from their house).

There's a tree house in the park built by the Tree House Masters that I was really excited to see because we love watching their show. Unfortunately the tree house was 'closed' but that didn't stop me, I found a way in and it was worth it!
The boys had fun at the splash pad

Boys everywhere!!

Sam was soo excited to play lacrosse with his cuzins.

We went to the bike park. Last time it was a mud hole and everyone got covered in mud. This time it was a dust bowl and we were slipping and sliding everywhere.

Mel took us to a delicious bakery.
We did a lot of hanging out out here because it wasn't hot!!

I convinced Mel she needed a new TV. We took the teenagers with us. We almost left the teenagers there so we could fit the TV in. The only way we could fit everyone and everything was for Toby's bum to hang out the window! Don't worry, he even scratched it when a nice car pulled up next to us. Marcus was laughing so hard I though he'd drive us into a tree. Did you spot Ethan??

Mel was awesome and made a baptism appointment for us.
