Thanks to Covid, this was Megan's 1st and last homecoming! But she looked beautiful, had a great time and made some good memories to make up for it.
Moments before her choir group was supposed to sing the national anthem for the football game, the power went out because of a giant fire just west of the school. So the announcer couldn't tell everyone what was going on. The conductor managed to get everyone's attention and told everyone just to sing a long. So it actually ended up being pretty cool with everyone singing.
The smoke from the fire.
The wind from the fire started blowing towards us and huge chunks of ash started landing on us. Max's asthma wasn't loving it so we took off, which was good timing because right after we left there was lightning and the canceled the game and then it started pouring! It was a mess! And earlier that day there had been a man that broke into a house in Farmington and held the family hostage. My kids thought the world was ending!
