D.C. Part 2

 

Since the blog just loaded all my pics from last to first - we're going to go backwards through our day! We ended the day in the city by seeing all the monuments in the best of both worlds - day and night! We got there as the sun was setting, it was beautiful! Lots of walking, the boys were exhausted!

We made our way to the D.C. temple, we didn't realize it was just as school was getting out so it took FOREVER to get there through school zones and bus drops. But we LOVED our time there. It's such a beautiful temple and I tried not to cry too hard as I watched Max baptize all of our family. We also got to talk to the sister missionaries and that always makes me happy!

                        After Gettysburg we went back into the city to hit some more museums.

No one can beat Toby in a fast walking competition. It's all in the hips.

We started the day off by driving to Gettysburg. I think we were all surprised by how much we enjoyed it there. We all learned a lot and are grateful we didn't live back then. They went through a lot.
