Fall Break

We started our fall break off with our annual trip to the pumpkin patch with the rest of the neighborhood. Always a good time and I'm always shocked to watch Sam eat the fresh vegetables they grow there - like cabbage! He had a ton of it!

The next day we went to the zoo and decided to hike Ensign Peak. Toby's never done that before and we figured it was about time! Afterwards we ate Costco hot dogs and they never tasted so good!

 Sam NEEDS this motorcycle

We, of course, made it to Lagoon while we were on break.
Next, we got in the car and headed up to Boise, to go through the Meridian Temple! We saw lots of cool clouds on our way there.
We ate at a yummy brewery and Sam was obsessed with the bottles, he still has his.
We played at some parks and we were playing football and Max tripped and fell and landed in this position and decided he was too tired to get up, so we took a picture and asked him if he was dead.

The Meridian Temple was gorgeous. There's a river that runs right next to it with an equestrian park on the other side of that. Amazing. Sam was not in the mood to be there. He was mad it was taking away from his hotel pool swimming time.
We're really bad at taking family selfies. People kept asking if we needed help. And yes, it looks cold because it was cold. Like winter cold. Our summer bodies were not ready for it.
We drove past this weird alley downtown, can't remember the name of it.
We rode our scooters along the river and then up by the Boise Broncos stadium to show the kids the blue turf. Unfortunately, it was game day, and even though the game didn't start for 6 hours they wouldn't let us anywhere near the field. They kept telling us anyday but game day. We even had Sam flash his cute smile and orange hair that usually helps us out - but nothing. They had hearts of stone.

Sam wants one of these tractors. And when we couldn't get close to the turf, we went and threw rocks in the river. It almost made up for it.
